The Red Piano 

Ms. Heather started teaching piano in 1999 at Studio K in Geneva. She taught part time both small group and one-on-one lessons to supplement her public school income from 1999 to 2015 when she decided to leave public ed, homeschool her two youngest children, and open a full-time studio.

Heather has a BA in Elementary Education and two masters degrees in education as well. Formal training in music includes four semesters of music theory as well as training in both classical piano and jazz piano at the college level. Heather also played piano for mass at St. Rita church in Aurora and loves serving others by playing and singing for them.

Since its inception in 2015, The Red Piano has grown extraordinarily, which allowed Heather to homeschool during the day and teach in the evenings and on weekends until recently when she was called back to public education. Heather is a member of the Music Teachers National Association along with the Illinois Chapters and can sometimes be found behind the keyboard in the Christ Community Aurora Campus Church worship band.
